Town Inviting Public To Bid For Local Land

The town of Kapuskasing is inviting members of the public to bid on local land for sale.

The town released a statement this week alerting residents that by next Wednesday, January 31st at 4:30pm they will be officially closing the tender process of four separate properties for sale to the public.

Any tender submitted by a member of the public must come in a prescribed form and be accompanied by a deposit in the form of cash, cheque or bank draft.

Any tender deposit must also be made payable to the municipality and cover 20% of the total cost of the land.

The town also states that successful purchasers of land will be required to pay the amount tendered plus any accumulated and relevant taxes.

As well, the town of Kapuskasing states it has no obligation to maintain that each property is currently fit for living standards to any successful purchaser.

 

The land up for sale as follows:

 

A Kolb Avenue (Commercial)

Minimum Tender Amount: $34,712.75

 

31 Queen Street (Commercial – 5 apartments)

Minimum Tender Amount: $46,022.20

 

13 Lang Avenue (Commercial – 1 apartment)

Minimum Tender Amount: $22,368.69

 

86 Brunelle Road South (Rural Residential – vacant land)

Minimum Tender Amount: $ 4,201.28
