NCDSB Brings Child Care Facility To South Porcupine

A new child care facility is being brought to St. Joseph’s school in South Porcupine thanks to the work of the Northeastern Catholic District School Board.

NCDSB together with the Cochrane District Social Services Administration Board has funded over $2 million to the construction of a child care facility at St. Joseph’s school.

NCDSB Director of Education Tricia Stefanic Weltz says the board recognizes how valuable early year programs are, so they wanted a place where families can access these opportunities.

CDSSAB Child Services Manager Beth Nowak says they are pleased that South Porcupine families will have access to high-quality care within their community.

The new child care centre will offer preschool programming for up to 50 children along with Before and After School services and programs.
