Victim Identified In Fatal Highway 144 Collision

The victim of a fatal collision on Highway 144 has been identified.

The OPP says 59-year-old Gilbert Cheechoo from Moose Factory was killed in a serious collision between a van and commercial vehicle that closed the highway on January 4^th.

The 51-year old driver on the transport truck was taken to hospital for minor injuries.

OPP Technical Collision Investigators are still investigating the cause of the collision.
