Construction Continues for Northern College’s New EMS Building

The cold has slowed down the process, but Northern College says the new Integrated Emergency Services Complex is well on its way.

Northern College says because of the mild fall, crews were able to finish lots of site work including roadways, drainage, sewer, gas and water. President Fred Gibbons says currently more than 90 per cent of the steel structure is done, but the cold has set construction back by two weeks.

Gibbons says the contractors have assured the college that the education side of the building will be ready for classes to start in the fall.

He says the school will be sending out updates closer to the building being finished.
