Keeping Animals Safe in the Cold

As the cold continues, you are reminded that your pets feel it too.

The Northern Ontario Animal Welfare Society says there are some things you need to remember to help protect your furry family members during the winter months.  NOAWS says no pets should be left outside for long periods of time, wipe snow and ice off your dogs’ paws and legs after going outside to wipe off salt chemicals and never leave any pets alone in the car. It adds that all animals should have a warm place to sleep that is sheltered from any cold drafts.
