Cold Weather Warning Continues in Northern Regions

A cold weather warning is still in effect for most of the northeastern region.

Environment Canada says Cochrane will see temperatures around minus 15, with a wind chill of minus 33 throughout the day. It has been about one week of continuous warnings in the region.

The weather agency says you should dress in multiple layers with the outer layer being wind resistant. It also says to cover up your skin because frostbite can develop within minutes.

Extreme cold warnings are issued when very cold temperatures or wind chill creates an elevated risk to health such as frostbite and hypothermia.
