A pot-growing facility is officially coming to Kapuskasing.

Mayor Al Spacek has signed the paperwork bringing CannAssist’s first production facility to the community. This deal, that has been four years in the making, will bring that pot-growing facility to the town’s airport property. Spacek says many economic benefits will come out of this including 60 new full-time jobs to start.

CannAssist will begin construction next fall and plans to have a licence to produce next January.

Kapuskasing will receive five per cent equity from CannAssist in exchange for the serviced land.
