The north is giving its opinion on the province’s report on income security.
The Northern Ontario Service Deliverers Association is agreeing with the “Income Security: A Roadmap for Change” report that states the income security system affects us all and that changes need to be made to ensure the health and well-being of everyone, but it also thinks more changes need to be made. NOSDA Chair Iain Angus says whatever the province implements, it needs to work in the north because the region is different than the south.
Angus says things that work in the south may not work in the north.
He says NOSDA is working with the northern DSSABs to ensure the province takes northern concerns into consideration.
