Kapuskasing officers of the James Bay detachment of the OPP have located a trapper who was late on his return.
Police were alerted on Wednesday of a trapper who was overdue on his return after making his way an expected 80 kilometres south of the town.
Officers travelling on snowmobiles were able to locate the Kapuskasing man who was in relatively good health despite cold temperatures.
Police say they were able to locate the man so quickly because of a very well laid out plan for the trip that was left behind by the trapper.
The OPP is taking this time to remind outdoor enthusiasts of the importance of planning and being properly equipped when enjoying outdoor activities during the winter season.
