You have an opportunity to help put smiles on the faces of local youth by supporting their art.
According to Kapuskasing Indian Friendship Centre Worker Rhonda Martin, next Tuesday the centre and the ArtShine program they run will be hosting a Christmas Art Show.
Martin says the purpose is to display the hard work of the children who have gotten involved with ArtShine.
She says it’s also a chance to give members of the community some insight as to how meaningful the program is to both the kids, and Kapuskasing as a whole.
Martin says it’s a great opportunity to give back to the program, which in turn is giving back to the youth.
She says they decided to put this art show together to give the children a bit of a taste as to what a real art gallery is like.
The KIFC and ArtShine program’s Christmas Art Show takes place Tuesday, December 19th at the centre.
