NEOFACS And Cochrane District EMS Collect Hundreds Of Toys For Local Children

This weekend the Cochrane District Emergency Medical Services and Northeastern Ontario Family And Child Services hosted their annual toy drive at Canadian Tire in Kapuskasing.

The two organizations along with other non-profits collected over 500 toys to distribute to the less fortunate within the community and over $1,600.

NEOFACS Service Manager Nathalie Rochon says the toy drive, now in its fourth year, was a huge success.

Rochon says year after year they are amazed at the continued growth in donations, which has allowed them to give back in even more ways to the community.

She says it seems like the amount of donations doubled for them this year in both toys and money received.

Rochon says NEOFACS wants to thank the members of the local Kapuskasing Fire Department, the local CDSSAB Emergency Medical Services and also the friendly Canadian Tire staff for all of their help.
