OPP Stats For November Show Decline In Provincial Offences

OPP service stats show a major decline in provincial offences for Kapuskasing during November.

The James Bay Detachment of the OPP released service stats for the past month regarding the town of Kapuskasing and it shows they responded to a total of 1,114 calls during the month.

Media Officer Stephanie Belec says a steep decrease took place in terms of provincial offences from 491 in October to 339 in November.

Belec says this can be partly attested due to the change in season as during the winter often times the number of charges such as excessive noise, trespassing, and garbage disposal will diminish.

Overall, she says a drop in any area of offences is always a positive to build off of.
