Province Adds Senior Support Page To Website

Seniors in Northeastern Ontario will now be able to access care of their own choices directly from home.

The North East Local Health Integration Network is very pleased the province is helping to ensure that seniors are able to access the support they need from home through a brand new one-stop webpage.

The website www.ontario.ca will now feature an information page for seniors, created as part of the action plan announced by the government of Ontario in early November titled; Aging with Confidence: Ontario’s Action Plan for Seniors.

NE LHIN Interim CEO Kate Fyfe says the resources on the webpage will help seniors to learn more about the available health care programs and services.

Fyfe says the webpage will direct people to where they can attend social activities and will keep them connected and engaged within their own communities.

The link to the webpage can be found here.
