There will be a new retail store in Kapuskasing starting Monday.
Chris Rody, the former Owner of Sears Hometown Store, has maintained the lot where he previously ran the Canadian retail chain and is now bringing his own store, Rody’s Retail.
Rody says after being dealt a blow with the loss of Sears, he and his team have bounced back
He says the store will feature furniture, accessories, home décor and much more.

Rody says he and his staff have learned a lot from their up and down experience with Sears earlier this year.
He also says the staff is really looking forward to opening up the new store, and better serving the community.
The store will officially open its doors at the former Sears location of 115 Brunetville Road on Monday.
