Kapuskasing’s Riverside Park will be getting a lot brighter this coming weekend.
The annual Festival of Lights celebration takes place this Sunday to celebrate the winter season.
Town of Kapuskasing Former Special Events Coordinator Kelly Kraby says there will be a bonfire by the bay and as tradition the Jubilee Singers will be on hand to sing Christmas carols for everyone through the night.
Kraby says this year will see no sleigh rides and also there will no longer be a parade as part of the festivities.

However, this year will see the addition of scavenger hunt cards handed out to all kids in attendance from Healthy Kids Kapuskasing.
The Festival of Lights begins Sunday at 6:30pm in the park.
