Today at Sensenbrenner Hospital the grand opening of a Hospice Suite will take place.
Thanks to a generous donation from the Kapuskasing Rotary Club of $50,000 the hospital will now be able to better serve their patients who are in palliative care.
Sensenbrenner Hospital Manager of Active Care and Discharge Planner Anne-Marie Popadynetz says the Rotary’s donation was very generous and a big reason for the hospice suite coming to be.
Popadynetz says they are extremely grateful for the Rotary’s donation, but also their input and effort from day one.
She says the reason they wanted to build the suite, was to make patients feel more at home.
The grand opening ceremony will take place today at Sensenbrenner Hospital beginning at 5:00pm in the cafeteria.
