As students returned to classes this week, College faculty returned to work, and colleges began work on trying to make up for lost time.

College Boreal earlier this weekend announced its Christmas Holiday schedule would be condensed down to an 11 day break from December 22nd through January 2nd.

President of the college Daniel Giroux says the college’s focus is to have every student currently enrolled reaching the proper learning outcomes needed to graduate and move forward.

Giroux says they have reconfigured their fall semester to 13 weeks, and shortened the winter to 14.

He says they want to reassure students that they have not lost 5 weeks of learning, rather simply time spent in the classroom.
