The Red Cross is looking for volunteers to help them continues the great work they do across so many different programs and in and around Kapuskasing.
Volunteer with the Canadian Red Cross in Kapuskasing Mike Grant says the true issue at this time is that they need helping hands in order to continue being able to offer their much needed services.
Grant says these are services such as drivers for elders, or those who need a ride to an appointment out of town.
He also says programs such as meals on wheels are extremely important in keeping those who are without food fed, and disaster management as well as friendly visitation are necessary programs as well.
Grant says the real issue is there are so many people in need, and we need to find a way to help them all.
He says to become a volunteer is a personal choice and it is your decision how much you commit yourself to the cause.
