Students from College Boreal will find out this Thursday if they will be returning to class next week.
Beginning Monday 12,000 striking Ontario college faculty members will come to vote on a deal that has been put forward from the College Employer Council.
After talks between the council and faculty broke down, the province has forced this vote in order to get students back into the classroom.
If over 50 per cent of faculty vote in favour of the proposed deal then students could be back in class as early as next week.
College Boreal has already stated that to make up for lost time they will run classes until December 22nd and have second semester begin as early as January 2nd of 2018.
