You are being asked to turn in your past due and unused medications for your own safety.

The Porcupine Health Unit is asking the Kapuskasing community to play their part in performing a medication clear out and fall prevention.

Public Health Nurse Joanne Bennett says they encourage everyone to return to pharmacies your used and expired medication.

Bennett says their fall prevention program will help reduce the risk of falls in elders.

She says all expired medications can be dropped off at your local pharmacy year round.
