Teachers from across District School Board Ontario North East will be bringing something new into the classroom.

Teachers gathered at Timmins High and Vocational School yesterday to hear from Education Advisor to the Premier Dr. Jean Clinton.

Clinton says teachers need to think of ways to make the most vulnerable students soar.

She says teachers need to make students have a sense of purpose and belonging at school.

Director of Education for DSB One Lesleigh Dye says Clinton’s message is to really understand every learner.

Dye says this is something the district will strive for.
