Kapuskasing will begin construction to correct a forcemain issue in the coming weeks.
According to Manager of Public Works Eric Cote, the town has approved the reconstruction project on Mill Street.
Cote says the project’s goal is to replace some older pieces with newer ones and also to provide better access for crews when it comes to future work.
He says the project will see an old forcemain moved from the field behind Tembec onto Mill Street where it’s much more accessible.

Cote says there will be some traffic delays on roads such as Brunelle Road South as well as Lemarier Street.
He says the project will begin in the next few weeks and will have to be completed prior to the Christmas holidays.
