The town of Kapuskasing will prepare a pumpkin pickup this year following Halloween.
Manager of Public Works Eric Cote says crews will have a one-week pick up of leaves and pumpkins that will begin once Halloween is over.
Cote says that in past years the town has had to deal with picking up pumpkins at the same time as their regularly scheduled garbage collection.
He says this year; the change is being made in an effort to eliminate contaminating the recycling stream as well as to avoid picking up compostable material in the garbage stream.
The one-week pickup will begin on Monday, November 6th.
