Two Residents Receive Quarter Century Award For Service To Community

Two Kapuskasing natives were recognized at council for their long-standing service to the community.

At council, Monday night, Barbara Major and Daniel Grzela were recognized for their 25 years of continued service with a Quarter Century Award.

Mayor Alan Spacek says Major recently retired from her position as Town Clerk but has always been very involved within the community.

He says Grzela has been a school board trustee who has consistently given back to the community as much as possible.

Spacek says Kapuskasing for 25 years has been blessed with two individuals who have shown the utmost dignity and pride in their work, and this was a small way of showing thanks.
