The living and the not so living within Kapuskasing came together to raise funds for the local food bank.

This past Saturday the third annual Zombie Walk took place in Kapuskasing raising funds for the food bank through the local Rotary Club.

Organizer of the event Jennifer Coghill says in total they raised $50 in monetary donations and a solid 125 pounds of non-perishable food donations.

Coghill says she was a tad discouraged with the community turnout on such a nice day, but everyone had fun and that is what matters most.

She says they were more than pleasantly pleased with those who decided to partake in the event.

Now, Coghill says they are turning their attention to this Saturday’s Halloween Dance Party which will also be helping to raise funds for the Kapuskasing Food Bank.
