Over 350 students gathered on Northern College grounds in Timmins to partake in the annual cross-country challenge.

This past Friday at the Roland Michener Cross-Country Challenge all three regions of the District School Board Ontario North East were represented at the event.

According to Organizer and Math Teacher at Roland Michener John Bohdanec, schools travelled from Kapuskasing, Iroquois Falls and Englehart to join runners from Timmins.

Bohdanec says considering how late into October the race day was, they could not have asked for better weather or conditions to run in.

He says it was terrific to see how many students came from the outside communities to join in the challenge.
