Rockbox CrossFit Raises Over $4,000 For Special Olympics Canada

Kapuskasing pushed themselves hard this weekend for the benefit of those in need.

At Rockbox CrossFit on Saturday the CF/24 event, raising funds for Special Olympics Canada, would bring in a wonderful $4,200 for the foundation.

That’s according to Owner Tania Torok, who says the town united with the goal of giving to others, and therefore the day was a huge success.

Torok says a highlight of the day was having two Special Olympics athletes join them for a few workouts.

She also wanted to thank the sponsors of the event Chez Lizette for their food and drink as well as Yvon’s Home Hardware and Tim Horton’s for helping as well.

Torok says, in the end, she couldn’t be more proud of the community and how they showed up to support this cause.
