Northern Francophone Schools Travel To Timmins For Post-Secondary Destination Fair

Grade 11 and 12 students from francophone schools across the north travelled to Timmins for the annual post-secondary destination fair.

Senior students from secondary schools in Hearst, Kapuskasing and Smooth Rock Falls spent last Thursday in Timmins at Theriault High School.

Head of Guidance at Theriault Guy Chenier says there were over 50 organizations and possible employers as well as post-secondary institutions represented at the fair.

Chenier says they have recruiters from the OPP, OPG, Goldcorp and even Quebec based companies looking to hire graduates.

He says this is becoming a bigger draw every year for students and also for prospective employers and post-secondary institutions.
