HKK Teaching Kids How To Create Healthier Choices At Home

It’s important to make healthy food choices, but being able to cook them up is as well.

That is according to Healthy Kids Kapuskasing Project Manager Kaylee Wedge, who says a new free program titled Mini Chef Cooking Classes will offer parents and youth a chance to create healthier meals in the kitchen.

Wedge says the program will be offered weekly from the end of October through the end of November.

She says it will teach both parents and kids how to team up in the kitchen and create more healthy food options.

Wedge says they want to show parents how they can get their kids involved in cooking,  while still being safe.

She says kids who learn from a young age to cook, are usually the ones who continue too in the future.

In order to register your child for the free Mini Chef Cooking Classes you can go online to Healthy Kids Kapuskasing’s Facebook Page.
