The Porcupine Health Unit is hosting a series of senior health fairs across the north.
Public Health Nurse Joanne Bennett says their late October, early November series of health fairs will provide many different forms of information for attendees.
Bennett says information will be given to members regarding community services, and topics will be covered such as fraud protection, healthy nutrition and even anxiety reduction.
She says this is a great opportunity for elder community members to get information from a health professional, pharmacist, or dietitian in-person.
Bennett also says that along with their booths and speakers they will also be offering the influenza vaccine to older adults.
The PHU will be visiting Kapuskasing on Tuesday, October 24th at the Civic Centre between 10:00am and 4:00pm.
