You are being warned to keep an eye on your cash during transactions.
The OPP says counterfeit money is currently making the rounds.
Police say counterfeit money is being sold over the internet and is described as paper bank notes with Chinese markings and no serial number.
The OPP says businesses and residents are being reminded to check bills carefully during any transaction.
If you come across a bill you think is counterfeit, you are asked to call the police.
