Education results are back from the Education Quality and Accountability Office.

Statistics show a low percentage of students are at or above the provincial level in math at both District School Board Ontario North East and the Northeastern Catholic School Board.

At DSB One, grade three students dropped from 48 per cent in 2016 to 46 per cent in 2017, grade six students bumped up one per cent from 28 to 29 per cent and grade nine students dropped from 63 to 61 per cent in academic math.

At NCDSB, grade three students stayed the same at 53 per cent, grade six students dropped from 39 to 35 per cent and grade nine students dropped from 76 to 74 per cent in academic math.

Neither school board could respond to calls from Moose News.(Written
