There has been an immense drop in criminal code charges in Kapuskasing over the past month.
The OPP released its stats for August and Kapuskasing saw 1,377 calls for service over the course of the month.
OPP Media Officer Stephanie Belec says there were 159 criminal code charges, which was down nearly 100 charges from the past two months of June and July.
Belec says there were 35 violent crimes, 58 property crimes and 25 drug occurrences, all stats which dropped considerably from the previous two months.
She says the drop in criminal code charges was a nice change from the two previous summer months.
