Town of Kapuskasing is closing off a man-made shortcut between Brunetville Road and Cedar Street.

Manager of Public Works Eric Cote says the property is not to be used as a road and therefore has closed off traffic access to the Carlo Cattarello facility.

Cote says they decided to close up the shortcut after multiple complaints from residents.

He says the area which belongs to both the school board and town is not a roadway.
