To recognize World Suicide Prevention day on September 10th, the Porcupine Health Unit will be hosting a safeTALK training workshop.
The health unit says this training will teach you some of the warning signs related to suicidal thoughts and what to do if you believe someone is having them.
Public Health Nurse Jennifer Bisson says anyone over the age of 15 can join in the training.
Bisson says it also aims to make you more comfortable talking about suicide.

Bisson says the event will take place from 1:00pm to 4:00pm on September 19th.
She says you must register before September 10th, but registration is free.
