Community Comes Together Over Live Music At The Pavilion

The local community came out to enjoy some live music and help those in need.

This past Thursday the Pavilion was used for the first time for a live musical performance from the band Flipside on behalf of the local Kapuskasing Food Bank.

Food Bank and Rotary Club member Rick Bartlett says they were pleasantly surprised to be a part of the event, and are very much appreciative of the community’s response.

He says the community has been splendid in giving back more and more since the Rotary Club took over the Food Bank.

Bartlett says there was a total of $250 dollars raised in cash donations, and over 175 pounds of food collected from the evening.

He says he would like to thank the band Flipside for their efforts and reminds everyone the Food Bank is always open to donations and help from the community.
