FAS Day Chance To Educate New And Old Mothers

NEOFACS will host its 3^rd annual Ontario Early Years Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Day during the first Thursday of September.

Brighter Futures Worker for Ontario Early Years Stephanie Roy says the annual FAS day is celebrated all over the world on September 9^th and Kapuskasing like the past two years will once again take part.

Roy says educating mothers new and old on the effects of drugs and alcohol on their unborn children is their number one priority.

She says on FAS day, the focus of the workshop is improving parent’s choices when dealing with alcohol consumption.

Roy says the Ontario Early Years portion of NEOFACS is focused on parents with children zero to six years of age.

FAS day in Kapuskasing will take place from 9:15am to 11:45am at 29 Kolb Avenue on Thursday, September 7th.
