PC Mining And Forestry Critic Visits Kapuskasing And Hearst To Hear Out Local Concerns

PC Mining and Forestry Critic Norm Miller made a visit to Kapuskasing and Hearst to hear out some concerns face to face.

Parry Sound-Muskoka MPP and PC Northern Development Critic Norm Miller made sure to stop at Tembec in Kapuskasing and at Lecours Lumber in Hearst this week to check on the local communities and their ongoing operations.

Miller says one of the consistent complaints was how often Northerners felt decisions made at Queen’s Park were made without their best interest in mind.

He says the current Liberal government should be focused on the effect re-introducing Caribou has on the livelihood of those in the north, rather than simply the environmental benefits.

Miller’s visit is currently ending with his stop in Timmins today to link up with the rest of the PC party at their annual caucus retreat within the city.
