NDP Leadership Hopeful Angus Takes Leave After Passing Of Sister

An NDP leadership hopeful will be taking some time off of the campaign race to deal with a family death.

Timmins-James Bay MP Charlie Angus has announced he will be stepping back to deal with his sister’s passing.

Angus took a 10 day break, missing a debate in Victoria BC, earlier this month when she was first admitted into palliative care.

He says he will be back on the campaign trail on Monday after planning and attending her funeral.
