Cochrane’s annual Summerfest took place this weekend and was packed with a variety of activities.
The 2017 version of the event took place from Thursday, August 10th to Sunday, August 13th in Cochrane and was highlighted by a long list of entertainment ranging from live performances to competitive tournaments.
Cochrane Mayor Peter Politis attended the festivities and said this year’s immense variety of activities and vendors created a terrific atmosphere for every age group.
Politis says this year was also extra satisfying knowing the current development state of the peninsula project and the possible limitations the event could have had because of its alternate location.
He says he would like to thank Roxanne DesRoches and the entire Summerfest Committee for their hard work and dedication to the event, and he hopes everyone enjoyed living the weekend like a northerner.
