Fedeli comments on Wynne testifying at Sudbury bribe trials

Next month’s bribery trials in Sudbury of two prominent Liberals will be front and centre.

Pat Sorbara, the Premier’s former chief of staff, and Gerry Lougheed Junior of Sudbury are charged with bribery under the Ontario Election Act. Moose News talked to Nipissing MPP Vic Fedeli about the Premier and Sudbury MPP Glenn Thibeault choosing to testify for the prosecution. Both could have used privilege to avoid testifying but Fedeli says doing that would have been a mistake.

It’s alleged Lougheed and Sorbara offered a former candidate a bribe in return for not seek the nomination in the 2015 Sudbury by-election. Both have always denied bribing the candidate.
