There has been a small update on the current status of a possible medical marijuana facility coming to Kapuskasing.
The Economic Development Corporation of Kapuskasing met this week to present an update to the possible project with CanAssist.
Chair of Finance Dave Plourde says the major focus of the meeting was Mayor Alan Spacek updating them on his recent talks with the company.
Plourde says currently both the town and their business partners are in waiting mode.
He says as soon as it is awarded, the CanAssist company will be ready to put up a medical marijuana facility in Kapuskasing.
