With Lumberjack Festival only days away, the downtown core of Kapuskasing will see some road closures.
The town of Kapuskasing in a press release Tuesday evening stated that sections of Riverside Drive, McPherson Avenue and Drury Street will be closed to prepare for the Lumberjack Festival beginning as of Wednesday.
Streets, access roads and alleys will also be blocked off during the festival.
As well, Beauce Carnival has begun their set-up in front of the Kapuskasing Civic Centre, therefore access to the centre will be limited from now until the end of Sunday, however the municipal office will remain open and continue its regularly scheduled hours.
Currently, the town plans to re-open the streets as soon as possible come the end of the festival Sunday.
