Northern Ontario First Nations are suffering through a series of suicides, and Kapuskasing has taken notice.
Over the course of the past two weeks there have been four deaths due to suicide in remote northern first nation communities.
Kapuskasing Mayor Alan Spacek says it’s a tragic issue that needs to be addressed.
Spacek says the only way that they can create a change moving forward is through the proper resources being made more available to those in need.
He says here in Kapuskasing there are resources available for those who feel they are in need of help.
