As the weather improves and the days get longer, so too do the adventures outdoors.
The OPP would like to remind everyone this summer in and around the Kapuskasing community about the importance of bike safety.
Police are reminding cyclers that it is the law that everyone under the age of 18 must wear an approved bicycle helmet, those over 18 are not required too, but officers are encouraging everyone use a helmet.
The OPP also remind parents and guardians that they will be subject to a possible fine if their child under the age of 16 is operating a bike without a helmet.
Officers will be out on duty keeping an eye on helmet use and overall safe riding practices throughout the summer months.
