Kapuskasing’s Food Bank is receiving some extra help thanks to Larabie’s Independent Grocer.

Larabie’s Independent Grocer held their first ever BBQ Food Drive on Thursday in order to raise funds for the Kapuskasing Food Bank.

Owner Emmanuelle Larabie says this seemed like an easy way to help continue to give back to the community.

Larabie says this is the first time they have ever done a BBQ for the food bank, and all Independent Grocer’s across Ontario were asked to participate.

In total, $350 was raised at the BBQ Thursday, and Larabie’s Independent Grocer will donate a little over $3,400 all told to the Food Bank.
