A fellow municipality’s request for support has been answered by Kapuskasing.
Kapuskasing town council has decided to support a request from the Municipality of Brockton to oppose the amendment of the Conservation Authorities Act.
The act would implement restrictions on the ability of municipal councils to appoint board members, something Kapuskasing agreed was not a positive implementation.
Council decided to support Brockton and other municipalities against the act because of its importance to those communities.
Kapuskasing does not fall under the act due to their location.
