Kapuskasing students will have a chance to get active and keep the memory of a former resident alive.
Next Friday Canadian Tire’s Jumpstart program in co-operation with Porcupine Health Services will be hosting their 11th annual Bike Rodeo in memory of the late Alissa Wilker.
President of Jumpstart in Kapuskasing Linda Millette says the event is to carry on the memory of Alissa, who loved being active outdoors.
Millette says it’s also a terrific opportunity to get young children to become more active, as all Grade 3 and 4 students from the area will be participating.
There will also be prizes to be won at the event which takes place Friday, June 9th beginning at 9:00am at the Sports Palace Arena.
