Manor Seeks Increase In Annual Funding

Kapuskasing has to decide to pass or deny a sizeable increase in funding for one of their long-term care facilities.

That is according to Chair of the Finance Committee of Kapuskasing Dave Plourde. North Centennial Manor is looking for an increase of $74,000 to their funding from the town.

He says recommending this increase during a time of cutbacks means they must be 100 percent sure of their final decision.

Plourde says the recommended increase would bring them over $300,000 in funding per year.

Council will next meet to approve or deny the recommendation on Monday, May 15th starting at 5:30pm.
