Mother’s Day is for celebrating the women in your life who have helped you become who you are today.
Unfortunately, not everyone has the opportunity to share the day with their mother.
New York Author Carol Weston is one of those people, her mother passed away very early in her life.
Weston says her 16th and newest work ‘Speed of Life’ is all about a young girls’ battle with losing her mother.
The columnist for Girls Life magazine says she understands how Mother’s Day without a mom can be.
Weston also knows that loss is even harder to overcome when it’s recent, so support is needed.
Owner of Namaste Studios in Kapuskasing Jess Lallier says her two nephews will experience their first Mother’s Day without their mom.
Lallier says the family and the community will be there to help.
She says she will help the boys to understand both who their mother was and also what has happened as best she can.
She says for Mother’s Day they are planning some activities with the kids.
Lallier also says Friday 11:00am to 7:00pm and Saturday 10:00am to 4:00pm Namaste Studios and Lakeside Studios will host ‘Jennie Days’ to raise funds for her late sisters’ two sons.
